Nate Smith is a drummer, composer, and producer whose instinctive and deeply expressive playing has earned him three GRAMMY nominations and a reputation as one of the most influential drummers of his generation.

Hailing from Chesapeake, Virginia, Smith has collaborated with a wide range of legendary artists, from Pat Metheny and Dave Holland to Brittany Howard, Norah Jones, The Fearless Flyers, and even Michael Jackson. His dynamic style bridges jazz, RnB, hip-hop, and pop, bringing an unmistakable groove and emotional weight to everything he touches.

With viral drum videos viewed by millions, Nate has captivated audiences far beyond the jazz world — and now brings his electrifying live trio to KOKO.
