It’s the first Herstory LIVE of 2017, come througghhhh!

A night of poetry, music and storytelling exploring the themes of historic stories of the under represented diaspora.

Explore history, herstory and our stories through art, conversation and all the vibes. Allens Chakra Juice & Ital will be on sale.

Dee Ajayi

Dee Ajayi is a soulful singer songwriter from the West Midlands, UK. With Soul, Acoustic and R&B influences, Dee Ajayi’s music captures her bright aura and healing intentions. In 2015 she supported Stormzy and Krept & Konan at KOKO and has also performed at iLuvLive and Birmingham’s City of Colours Festival.

Jolade Olusanya

Jolade is a Hackney based photographer, filmmaker and poet raised between London and Nigeria. He travels frequently with his work whilst focused on telling stories through all artforms. He was a finalist in the first ever Young Poet Laureate for London programme alongside Warsan Shire in 2012. He is also part of SXWKS, a creative collective.

Aliyah Denton

Aliyah is pychology student and Birmingham based poet whose introspective writing focuses on themes of wellbeing and consciousness. She was part of Ten Letters theatre production, supported Rafeef Ziadah and Suli Breaks on their Birmingham shows and has also performed at TEDxBrum.
