As part of ongoing “Celebrating Culture” campaign, The Students’ Union at UWE present this open mic night on the theme of “Can You Hear Me? A Celebration of Cultural Identities” held at the Drama Theatre located on Bower Ashton Campus.
The event aims to celebrate Black History Month and features local poets such as Malaika Kegode, Sophia Harari, and Ella Otomewo, followed by a short open mic section.
**If you would like to sign up for an open mic slot, please contact ella.newton@uwe.ac.uk**
We will also have Jikoni, a Bristol Based food truck on site with delicious East African food available.
