“The Godfather of Neo-Soul” Roy Ayers is a giant in the jazz world.

With a career spanning 6 decades, he’s amassed a diverse and hugely influential collection of timeless hits, including ‘Everybody Loves the Sunshine’, ‘Searchin’ and ‘Runnin Away’.

One of the founding fathers of the jazz-funk sound, his music influenced the emergence of the acid jazz scene as well as the world of hip hop, where you’ll find his music has been sampled more than most other artists.
