Reparations, Debt and Climate Justice

Sunday 7 November 2021

In part one, international experts and campaigners will share their critiques of how the global debt system prevents climate action and why debt cancellation and climate debt repayments are needed to achieve climate justice.

Part two will consist of a panel discussion by activists from Fridays for Future Most Affected People and Areas (FFF MAPA), hosted by FFF MAPA and the Transnational Accountability & Justice Initiative, and will, in emphasising the relationship between the violent colonial pursuits of the Global North and the climate crisis, contextualize climate reparations and confront the way that the Global North routinely uses climate reparations as a form of business and a means to gain profit.
