Workshop: Samosa Packet Stories (16-24 years)

Sunday 31 October 2021

Inspired by architect, artist, and activist Sofia Karim’s Jameel Prize shortlisted Turbine Bagh project, this in-person workshop is an opportunity for young people to connect through sharing experiences, stories, and ideas while creating their own unique samosa packets.

This has been created to encourage and support young people aged 16-24 to connect through stories, and we would encourage you to bring younger siblings, cousins, or friends. This event is suitable for families, groups, and individuals.

The Jameel Prize is an international award for contemporary art and design inspired by Islamic tradition. Tapping into your own heritage, interests, or the V&A’s extensive collections, you will hear from both Sofia and storyteller Vanessa Woolf, and fill your own samosa packet with your stories.

This free, workshop will run all day from 11:00am to 5:00pm. All materials will be provided, just drop-in to take part!
