Virtuoso sarod player, composer, producer, bandleader and TV presenter Soumik Datta collaborates with musicians from the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Datta is the Philharmonia’s Artist in Residence for the 2023/24 season. For the past year he has been working with a group of Philharmonia players, South Asian and refugee musicians.
Their different skills and experiences feed into this evening’s premiere, a captivating fusion of Indian music, contemporary composition and storytelling.
