Back due to popular demand, The Spirit of Jazz is a collection of popular favourites from BOP repertoire and concert dance works and performances, including new work I. Am which made its debut as part of LDIF21 and Touches of Miles which pays homage to great trumpeter and jazz composer Miles Davis. The mixed bill encapsulates the individual and collective human spirit and creative expression of the jazz dance theatre art form.
“They not only danced with spirit but looked like they really felt the spirit of the music. In the freer, more upbeat dances, the sense that they were also really enjoying themselves reached out across the internet.” David Mead, Seeing Dance
