To start its 25th anniversary season, Ensemble 10:10 takes us on a kaleidoscopic journey of sound and style.
Tania León creates a rainbow of polyrhythmic inventions based on the African rhythms that are embedded into the music of her Cuban birthplace, whilst George Benjamin takes us on an entirely different rhythmical and melodic path ending in darker hues.
Meanwhile, Luciano Berio’s Folk Songs rotate glittering colours around traditional melodies and rhythms from all over the world. This concert will also mark the world premiere of a specially commissioned work from Nneka Cummins, our 2021 Rushworth Composition Prize Winner.
