Chocolate Soldiers from the USA: A feature-length documentary

Saturday 12th November

Feature-length documentary; untold story of 140,000 Black American soldiers and thousands of British civilians who crossed a racial divide.

The feature-length documentary on a little-known episode of World War II. The untold story of 140,000 Black American soldiers sent to Great Britain and thousands of British civilians who crossed a racial divide to forge an unexpected bond during WWII. It becomes an explosive story when a thoroughly segregated US Army collides with a racially non-restrictive England.

We invite our whole community to come together for this special viewing of the film and to hear and understand further in the Q & A session delivered by our guest speaker from Preston Black History Group
