Being Black AND Muslim

DWP Muslim Network proudly presents, guest speakers Huawa Shehu – CPS Barrister/ lead for CPS Muslim Network and Ahmed James, DWP Work Coach who will bring the voice of Black Muslim to the fore, particularly because of the double-whammy of racism where people who are Black AND Muslim are likely to face.

 

Highlighting contribution to society from Black Muslims past and present and in history from the beginnings of Islam. From the first Martyr to the first Muezzin through to modern heroes this session will look at the key achievements of Black Muslims to society. Textual evidence will also be provided on why there is no superiority except for in the good deeds and character of humans.
