Growing Up Oral History Project Lived Experiences From Members of Sutton African Caribbean Cultural Organistation

In 2020, Sutton African and Caribbean Cultural Organisation worked closely with Sutton Council’s Cultural Services to record anecdotes, memories and thoughts reflecting their experiences growing up.

We aim to help people of African and Caribbean heritage of all ages to participate more fully in the local community. We also provide leisure and enrichment activities for our local area from an African and Caribbean perspective; these include mentoring, exhibitions, cooking, events, educational trips, and our quarterly magazine Kaleidoscope.We love to have a good time while we’re doing it…for us and for you.
