Blick Bassy

Sunday 13 April

An indie-pop and afro-soul sounds enthusiast deeply rooted in the African continent, the very talented Cameroonian singer-songwriter Blick Bassy is a force of nature, and is known across France for his vibrant live performances.

On his latest album Mádibá, released in 2023, Blick Bassy has chosen to address the environment, particularly the burning issue of water. At the confluence of several living sources, navigating between Africa and the West, Blick Bassy’s music – for which he mainly uses mother tongue Bassa – is distinguished by its mix as much as by its density. Tending towards the essential, it reaches a high emotional level.

Tickets for this event include a £1 venue restoration levy, included in the ticket price. This fee supports building investment at the Grade II-listed Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
