Poetry Jam Live!

Thursday 7 August

Since 2013, Poetry Jam has become a much-loved fixture in Birmingham’s creative scene.

Run in partnership with We Don’t Settle, this open mic night takes place on the first Thursday of every month and continues to grow in energy, attendance, and community spirit.

Poetry Jam is a space where all voices are welcome. Whether you’re new to the mic or a seasoned performer, it offers a supportive platform to share words, stories, and emotions. There’s no genre or theme—just the freedom to express, connect, and be heard.

Expect a wide range of performances, from love poems and comedic pieces to deeply personal reflections. The event doesn’t censor content, so audiences should be aware that sensitive topics or strong language may be included.

More than just an open mic, Poetry Jam has become a hub for connection, creativity and shared experience—bringing people together through the power of spoken word.
