Royal Literary Fund: Reading Round Group

Wednesday 14th December

The Royal Literary Fund Reading Round Group is a unique reading group.

It is part of a network of reading groups, and it is run by a published author (for Brixton House it will be Oladipo Agboluaje) who is called a ‘lector’. Every week for thirty weeks, the lector will select an average of two texts to read aloud to the group, and then lead a discussion of the readings.

The broad aim of the Reading Round group is to familiarise its members with a range of excellent and inspiring writing and – for those of you who are already keen readers – to introduce you to a wider range of literature than you might have discovered alone. Participants do not need to do any reading either before or after each session. All that is required is their attention and their contribution to the discussions. We ask that those who sign up commit to attending all thirty sessions starting in October 2022.

If you would like to find out more about the Royal Literary Fund Reading Round Group, please check our website for more information or contact us at community@brixtonhouse.co.uk.
