The Music of Otis Redding

Saturday 13 September

Prepare to be transported by the timeless voice of Otis Redding, as two of the UK’s most electrifying soul forces come together to honour the legacy of the King of Soul in a powerful, joy-filled live performance.

In this exhilarating tribute, London’s own Reuben Richards—celebrated for his deeply soulful, Otis Redding-inspired vocals—joins forces with the acclaimed Jezebel Sextet, whose blistering brass, tight rhythm section, and rich Hammond organ lines promise to bring Redding’s greatest hits roaring back to life.

From the explosive groove of “Hard to Handle” to the heart-wrenching emotion of “Try a Little Tenderness”, this eight-piece ensemble delivers an evening of classic soul at its most passionate and powerful. Expect to hear beloved tracks such as “Respect”, “Love Man”, “Mr Pitiful”, and “My Girl”, all performed with the raw energy and spirit that made Otis Redding a legend.

This is more than just a concert—it’s a celebration of one of the most influential voices in soul music, performed by artists who live and breathe the sound. Reuben Richards’ powerful vocals, paired with the driving grooves of The Jezebel Sextet, promise a night that will stir the soul and get audiences on their feet.

Please note: This is a tribute performance and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the estate of Otis Redding.
