A respected figure in the world of electronic music for the past two decades, a pioneer of the ‘French Touch’ and a creator of intelligent, sensual and original deep house, St Germain has always stood out.
Ludovic Navarre, aka St Germain has been showcasing his futuristic nous and love of roots music by funking up the 4/4 electronic world with a little blues and gospel since the early 90s.
His first album, From Detroit to St Germain was a stone-cold classic and led to him being signed to Blue Note for his second, the multi-platinum selling Tourist – a perfectly-formed melodic journey of eclectic and idiosyncratic deep house, mixing blues, latin percussion and, jazz.
St Germain, his eponymous third album was released late last year to critical acclaim.
