GCPH Halloween Screening: Tales from the Hood (1995)

Wednesday 26th October

A horror-comedy anthology unlike anything you will have seen before, focusing upon a quartet of urban legend affecting Black American life.

This 1990s horror-comedy anthology from Rusty Cundieff is unlike anything you will have seen before and continues the GCPH’s tradition of unearthing unusual and forgotten Halloween and Alternative Xmas movies.

It features four tales of urban terror and particularly how they affect Black American lives. From a peculiar funeral home to a racist police officer, these are stories that tap into deep-rooted prejudices while all the time reflecting on the race relations within the mid-90s US.
