This award-winning documentary brings to vivid life the little-known stories of 18 African Americans who defied stereotypes – at a time when their own country was suffering under racial divide – and challenged Hitler’s ‘Master Race’ on the world’s stage at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. The film follows the 16 men and two women before, during and after their heroic turn at the historic games, as they’re torn between boycotting Hitler’s Olympics or participating in the Third Reich’s grandest affair.
