The Men With Ships And Preaching Back To Africa Before Marcus Garvey
Marcus Garvey is undoubtedly one of the greatest pan-Africanists ever! His influence can still be felt today, among some political leaders, and countless roots reggae artists and pan-Africanists. However, history consultant Kwaku shows through his mash up video that there were a number of men who advocated for Back To Africa before Garvey, and some in the Diaspora and on the Continent had ships for trading and transporting Africans from north America to Africa, before he founded the Black Star Line, which never reached Africa. This is a forum to explore the work of some of the men who may have influenced Garvey, the Back To Africa movement, and the idea of skills transfer and trading with Africa.
