Norman Jay’s Good Times Band

Friday 30 May

MondayThe legendary DJ and co-founder of the Good Times Sound System spreads good vibes with his funk, disco and soul mixes, with special guests Natasha Watts and Omar.

Norman Jay is unquestionably one of the most respected and popular DJs in the world today. After co-founding London dance music station KISS FM in 1985, Jay fostered the ‘Rare Groove’ scene, pushing the boundaries of the UK’s emerging club culture, and was awarded the first MBE for services to deejaying and music in 2002.

In 2017 he released ‘Mister Good Times’, and is currently taking his legendary Good Times party to venues around the UK, continuing to convert generations of clubbers to the cause. After performing at the Southbank Centre last year, he’s back to champion new sounds, while never forgetting his musical roots.

Omar’s four-decade career is peppered with highlights, including eight solo albums of unique, evolving sound, collaborations with some of the biggest names in pop music history (Erykah Badu, Lamont Dozier, Leon Ware, Stevie Wonder), a catalogue of side-projects and an MBE.

Natasha Watts has quickly become a familiar face in the music industry and has blossomed as an artist, songwriter and performer. She has performed at the Jazz Cafe and Montreux Jazz Festival, and has supported The O’Jays at the Theatre Royal London, and Shalamar at the London Palladium.

Look forward to appearances from Natasha Watts and Omar, with tributes to Angie Stone and more special guests still to be announced in the coming weeks.
