OFFICIAL PRIDE PARTY AT WHITWORTH LOCKE

As official Partners of Manchester Pride 2019, Whitworth Locke is going big. Join us on 24th for a packed day of curated homoelectric tunes, a series of live DJ acts and an impressive spread of great food and drink from our partners Foundation Coffee, Conservatory Bar and El Camino. All day from 11AM ’till late, plus a Sunday acoustic session on 25th to wind down after Saturday’s festivities.

WHAT’S HAPPENING

On Saturday 24th local duo JOY SOCIAL will be warming up the decks from 11AM, spinning a selection of boogie, disco, and house to ease us into proceedings, before renowned daytime party-starters Supernature Disco take over at 4.30pm, upping the tempo to take us moving and grooving into the night.

Headlining Homoelectric DJ’s Honey Dijon, Hifi Sean, Dan Beaumont and Peaches will be helping to keep the mood high with a specially curated playlist and will be making a guest appearance during the day.

Food and drinks will be provided by our partners; Foundation Coffee, Conservatory Bar and El Camino at The Cotton Factory, all day from 11AM.

On Sunday 25th we will be winding down Pride weekend with an acoustic set from local singer-songwriters Honey We Three.

ABOUT THE LIVE DJS

24th 11AM – 4:30PM | JOY SOCIAL | Listen on Soundcloud

A shared ethos of playing ‘the music we love most’ has brought this pair together. The night began 6+ years ago in a sweaty northern quarter basement with a red strip light. They’ve shared a bill with the likes of Bicep, Mall Grab, Honey Dijon, Floating Points, Heidi, Josey Rebelle, Moxie, Mood II Swing, Felix Dickinson, Octo Octa , always setting the vibe right. They’ve played for Warehouse Project, Zutekh, Percoloate plus many other parties across Manchester. They were also the first residents at High Hoops. More recently you can catch them holding down residencies at Cottonopolis, The Refuge and also making several guest appearances at bars and clubs across the city.

24th 4:30PM – 10PM | Supernature Disco | Listen on Mixcloud

Since 2015, Supernature Disco has been running their infamous, daytime party in a sweaty Manchester basement, and for 2019 are launching Supernature does Saturday. Dedicated to the party, the four members of the collective, BB, Richie V, James Greenwood and Rob Jones share their love of disco and house with an energetic and diverse crowd.

25th 1PM – 5PM | Honey We Three

Lay your head down in the meadows and let the heady folk harmonies wash over you. A warming trio from Belfast, rich in harmony and emotion and with a diverse repertoire, they provide a captivating show sure to entertain at any event.
