Norwich Jams for BHM 2015!

Wednesday 28th October

The jam session has deep roots in Black History. It is where the creative essence of jazz originates. The 1930s and 40s Swing Era brought the jam session to an artistic all time high. An abundance of great musicians swirled around the USA doing one night stands for dancers, but when work was over, they headed for the after hours clubs where their creative impulses were let rip. Suddenly Bebop was on the scene, and Modern Jazz was born. Norwich celebrates the jam session in BHM 2015! Free
