Gitonga Wandai is a Kenyan hiker with a dream: to inspire a generation to ‘do what makes their heart dance’, explore the outdoors, and protect their local environment.
In his bid to become the first black Kenyan to summit Mount Everest, he has launched the ‘2022 Project’, a community-centred initiative which seeks to plant over 10,000 trees in Kenya and fund a mentorship programme for deaf children. Join him and British filmmaker Joe Bunyan for a live showing of their award-winning film Gitonga.
