A group for UK-based Gay, Bi, Trans Men of South Asian Heritage.
This month we’ll be talking about how our South Asian heritage can complicate or get in the way of our romantic or physical relationships.
Our South Asian Men’s Group
South Asian cultures are complex and have their own queer history. Traditionally South Asian cultures are community-focused and this can create different types of pressures and obligations on gay, bisexual and transgender men from these communities. In saying this, there are a lot of exceptions to this idea and attitudes continue to change.
The group will give you a positive space to think about these things from a personal perspective and without fear of judgement or discrimination.
The group is facilitated by Kuljit who is a British-born gay man of South Asian heritage. Kuljit will create a safe space for people to explore issues related to their gender and sexuality from the perspective of race and ethnicity.
