Reboot: Improvising with Words and Movement

Tue, 16 March 2021 17:00 – 18:15 GMT

Join choreographer Seke Chimutengwende to look at different ways of generating words and movement spontaneously in performance.

This event has sold out. Please sign up the Reboot mailing list to stay up to date with further announcements.

Where do words and movement come from? How do they inform each other? And how do we relate to what comes up?

We will look at the problems of not knowing what to say, the fear of not making sense and the question of how to transition between moving and speaking.

We will develop skills of listening, noticing and responding in performance and explore how to shape content in the moment. Choreographer Seke Chimutengwende brings all his experience and humour as a performer into this workshop. His teaching facilitates ease and confidence in performing and a joyful approach to improvisation.
