Wed, 24 June 2020 12:30 – 13:30

Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s BAME network – invites you join us for a special event on Wednesday 24th June 2020.

EVEWRIGHT is a multi-disciplinary visual installation artist who challenges public environments to make spaces for Black British stories to exist and thrive. He creates mirrors where he can see and recognise himself to instigate conversations in the mainstream about what it means to be Black and British in the UK today.

Everwright will be providing a audio visual film screening & powerpoint presentation of his work and his film Caribbean Takeaway Takeover, an interactive pop-up art and sound installation showcasing the stories of Windrush generation elders by the artist

Everwright will also talk more about his art, his latest works Tilbury Walkway of Memories, and his “I Can’t Breathe” artwork, disclosing his influences as well as the importance of his work generally within the current climate of Windrush, Covid-19 and Black Lives Matter.
