Hidden Beach Festival and Love Sensation Set for Major Summer Weekend in Hastings

Hastings seafront is set to host a major celebration of music, culture and community this summer as Hidden Beach Festival and Love Sensation Festival take over The Oval across two special August weekends.

Taking place on Saturday 8 August and Sunday 9 August, the events will bring together live music, DJs, sound systems, food, workshops and traders as thousands of visitors are expected to gather on the south coast for a weekend of dance music and global sounds.

Saturday’s Hidden Beach Festival will focus on global music and sound system culture, featuring performances from Aba Shanti Full Sound System, AfroBrazilica, Kasai Masai, Prince Tino & Afromotive, Los Twangueros, Salsadelic, Poetic Funk, Femi Fem and Blondezilla, alongside many more artists and performers throughout the day.

Festival organisers say the event will combine live bands, DJs, workshops and community-led activities in a beachside setting celebrating independent culture and creativity.

On Sunday, Love Sensation Festival will bring a feel-good programme of disco, house, soul and dance music to The Oval, with appearances from Natasha Kitty Katt, Nancy Noise, Lizzie Curious, Ravinder Taji, Cosmic Disco, Kangbala, Matt Adore, Angela Colosi and Ariele.

Alongside the music programme, organisers have announced a community access initiative offering a limited allocation of complimentary guest tickets for NHS staff, teachers, carers, support workers, emergency service personnel, frontline teams and community workers.

The initiative forms part of the festival’s wider commitment to accessibility and community engagement across Hastings and St Leonards.

Supporter and standard tickets for both festivals remain on sale through the Hidden Beach website.

Remi Vibesman, Founder and Creative Director of Hidden Beach, thanked supporters for helping to build what organisers describe as “something special on the south coast this summer”.

The festivals will take place at The Oval, Hastings seafront, over the weekend of 8–9 August.
