Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club will once again transform the streets of Soho into a major open-air celebration of live music this summer, with its annual free Street Party returning to Frith Street on Saturday 1st August 2026.
Running from 11:30am until 4:30pm, the event will feature live performances across two outdoor stages, bringing together some of the most exciting names in contemporary jazz, soul, R&B, gospel and hip hop.
Admission is completely free, with no tickets required, and organisers expect between 1,000 and 2,000 people to attend throughout the day.
This year’s line-up is headed by Grammy Award-winning duo Blue Lab Beats, acclaimed bassist and bandleader Daniel Casimir, R&B singer Shae Universe and triple MOBO Award winner Guvna B.
They will be joined by Summer Pearl, NEONE the Wonderer, GRAMN., Jackson Mathod, Marlon the Pannist and the Ronnie Scott’s Gospel Choir, alongside DJs Jon Jules and Mike Vitti.
A Celebration Beyond the Club
First launched in 2019 to mark Ronnie Scott’s 60th anniversary, the Street Party has become a much-loved summer fixture in Soho.
The event takes the spirit of one of the world’s most famous jazz clubs beyond its doors, creating an accessible public celebration of live music in the heart of London.
For more than six decades, Ronnie Scott’s has brought together internationally celebrated performers, emerging artists and audiences from across the world. The Street Party continues that tradition by making world-class live music available to everyone, regardless of age, background or ability to pay.
Alongside the performances, visitors can expect DJs, outdoor bars, family entertainment and a lively festival atmosphere throughout Frith Street.
Supporting Grassroots Music Venues
More than a free day of music, the 2026 Street Party will place a special focus on the importance of Britain’s grassroots music venues.
Ronnie Scott’s is partnering with Music Venue Trust and Save Our Scene to highlight the independent spaces where musicians first experiment, perform, collaborate and build audiences.
These venues often provide the earliest stages in an artist’s career, offering opportunities to develop confidence, refine a sound and connect with listeners before moving on to larger concert halls, festivals and international tours.
Representatives from Music Venue Trust will be present throughout the event, raising awareness of the challenges facing grassroots venues and the vital role they continue to play in Britain’s cultural and creative life.
Fred Nash, Managing Director of Ronnie Scott’s, said every successful artist begins somewhere.
“Before the festivals, the awards and the headline tours, there are independent venues where musicians can experiment, find their voice and connect with audiences for the first time. Those spaces are absolutely essential to the health of British music.”
He added:
“The Street Party is our way of opening Ronnie Scott’s up to everyone. By bringing free live music into the heart of Soho, we want to celebrate the incredible artists performing today while also recognising the wider network of grassroots venues that helps make careers like theirs possible.”
Music Venue Trust said the UK’s grassroots jazz scene remains one of the most vibrant in the world, with independent venues providing vital spaces for creativity, experimentation and collaboration.
A Diverse Celebration of British Music
The 2026 line-up reflects the breadth and diversity of contemporary British music.
Blue Lab Beats have become one of the leading names in the new generation of UK jazz, blending jazz, hip hop, soul and electronic music. The Grammy Award-winning duo have built a global audience and accumulated more than 84 million streams.
Daniel Casimir has emerged as one of the defining figures in Britain’s contemporary jazz movement. The award-winning bassist and composer is known for powerful live performances and music exploring identity, heritage and Black British experience.
Shae Universe brings a distinctive combination of R&B, soul and gospel influences, while Guvna B has established himself as one of the UK’s most influential rap and spoken-word artists.
A three-time MOBO Award winner, Guvna B is recognised for work exploring faith, identity, grief, community and Black British life.
The programme also creates space for rising artists and emerging voices, helping the Street Party continue Ronnie Scott’s long-standing commitment to developing new talent.

Opening Soho to Everyone
The Street Party offers an opportunity for regular jazz audiences and first-time visitors alike to experience live music in one of London’s most famous cultural districts.
By moving performances outside and removing the cost of admission, Ronnie Scott’s is creating a welcoming event for families, residents, tourists and music fans of all ages.
The partnership with Music Venue Trust also gives the event a wider purpose, reminding audiences that Britain’s internationally respected music scene depends on small venues operating in towns and cities across the country.
These spaces provide the foundations on which artistic careers are built, yet many continue to face financial pressure, rising costs and uncertainty.
By celebrating both established artists and the venues that helped make their careers possible, the Ronnie Scott’s Street Party creates a powerful reminder that live music thrives when talent, community and opportunity come together.
