The Story Of Carnival

Wednesday 25 October

Notting Hill Carnival has been an annual event since 1966 and was hugely inspired by the visionary, journalist & political activist Claudia Jones.

It brought cultural cohesion and become a pressure valve for the political and racial tension sparked by brutal murder of Kelso Cochrane, a Caribbean man from Notting Hill.

This is an interactive talk discussing the significance of carnivals in the UK, Caribbean, and South America.
