The Belgrade Theatre, Coventry and University of Warwick present

Tues 4 – Fri 28 October

This exhibition presents a fusion of historical 19th century stereoview photography and contemporary visual art by award-winning Caribbean photographers, providing a rare opportunity to learn about post-colonial Caribbean life through the history of photography.

We invite viewers to explore photography as an artistic form, Caribbean history and culture and modern-day Caribbean lives. Associate Professor Dr Fabienne Viala and award-winning Caribbean photographer Jean- Francois Manicom, will host five workshops and discussions at the Belgrade Theatre over the duration of Black History Month, which will take a closer look at history of photography, heritage and identity.

Tickets to the exhibition are free but must be booked in advanced by calling the Belgrade Theatre Box Office team on 024 7655 3055 or online via www.belgrade.co.uk
