Local Heroes Craft-Connections Banner

Thursday 2 September 2021

Join Brixton Library Craft group presenting and discussing the making and meaning of the Local Heroes textile banner

Inspired by the Local Heroes Initiative, the 17 individually made Local Heroes textile squares making up the banner were made during Covid lockdowns by the Brixton Library Craft group. During the event, hosted by Friends of Tate Library Brixton, Rachel Heywood and Cecilia Washburn will present and discuss the making and meaning of the banner, then display it in local venues.

This event is now an in-person event at Brixton Library. If the event reverts to online – we will update you accordingly.
