Letters Live at WOW

8 Mar 2020 Approximate run time: 90 mins

Outstanding performers read letters by or for women for an International Women’s Day edition of the literary correspondence event.

Letters Live is a live celebration of the enduring power of written correspondence. It makes its WOW – Women of the World debut in the tenth anniversary year of the festival.

Inspired by Shaun Usher’s bestselling Letters of Note and Simon Garfield’s To the Letter, these now famous events feature remarkable letters from across history and the globe, read by a diverse array of outstanding performers.

One of the joys of Letters Live is that who’ll be performing – and the letters they’ll be bringing alive – remains a closely guarded secret until the curtain goes up.

Previous performers have included Olivia Colman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Kylie Minogue, Gillian Anderson, Nick Cave, Riz Ahmed and Jarvis Cocker.
