DAUGHTERS OF THE CURRY REVOLUTION

WED 08.03 & FRI 24.03 2PM & 5PM 120 mins £13 / £7 CONC

Daughters of The Curry Revolution is an intimate performance. Afreena invites you to take a seat around her dinner table as she serves up second-hand stories of her father’s past, present, and what little she imagines is left of his future. Exploring what it means to be her dad’s daughter in the context of the anti-immigration rhetoric she is surrounded by, Afreena follows her dad’s journey to this country, and his journey to this day.

Commissioned by Contact and Word of Warning for Works Ahead.

Daughters of The Curry Revolution is being shown alongside My Father’s Kitchen and Asteroid RK1 as part of Hiraeth*.

* A Welsh word defined as homesickness tinged with sadness for the lost or departed. This experience combines three intimate performances exploring themes of home, family history and loss.

Ticket prices include admission to all three performances. For more information about My Fathers Kitchen and Asteroid RK1 please click ‘ALL EVENTS’.
