Drawing inspiration from Pam Grier’s iconic Blaxploitation roles of the 1970s, Jackie Brown – Quentin Tarantino’s pulp thriller about an airline stewardess who becomes embroiled in a world of crime – is still flying high on its 25th anniversary.
Grier brings effortless poise and cool to the role of the titular air hostess and smuggler. The supporting cast features memorable appearances from Robert Forster, Samuel L. Jackson and Robert De Niro as men on opposing sides of the law – all of whom Jackie must outfox on her way to safety and a half million-dollar payday.
