The Decolonial Book Swap

The Decolonial Book Swap is a space to swap books on the topics of race, colonialism, gender, religion, class, culture, history, etc. We also want to swap children’s books, YA, romance, fantasy etc, which centre the voices and experiences of people of colour. On the day there will be book swapping, discussions and storytelling for children from Khayaal Theatre (4+).

Bring a book with you to swap on the day (if you can) and write a note in the book for the next reader!

2-3pm: Storytelling with Khayaal Theatre (4+)

3.30-4pm: Storytelling with Hafsah Dabiri

3.30 – 4pm: Discussion with Eastside Community Heritage (more tbc)

When booking, please select the number of tickets of children and adults attending.

Travel information:

The closest station is King George V DLR station

The 473 and 474 bus route (bus stop St John’s Church)

Free parking is available but there are limited spaces.
