BLACK HISTORY EXHIBITION & PLAY EXAMINING RACE & CULTURE ISSUES

An exhibition of photos of prominent Black African, Caribbean and British people over the last 100 years coupled with a display of artefacts and material donated by staff and local residents which will include a selection of Caribbean food for guests. Following the exhibition, local youth drama group, Purple Moon Drama will perform a dramatised version of Noughts & Crosses, Malorie Blackman’s thrilling play depicting friendship throughout childhood set against a backdrop of prejudice and distrust highlighted by violent behaviour surrounding the relationship of the two main characters as a romance between the two leads them into trouble and danger
