Join us as we celebrate Motherhood on Mother’s Day Weekend 2023 at the Andaz London!
As partners for the BeWhoYouAre campaign in collaboration with Andaz London, it’s a joy to put on this celebratory event on Mother’s Day Weekend.
There are lots in store from knitting a Mother’s day wreath and hearing a talk from knitwear Designer and new mother Beatrice, founder of Korlekie. Also dropping in for a social drink to find out more about knitting, plus goodies on the day. This is a chance to celebrate and bring women together; all are welcome so bring a woman who is your role model, mother’s, sisters, friends, auntie’s to make this year memorable by coming along and joining the collective, we’ll be bringing the vibes.
Please Note: The first 20 ticket holders will have access to the wreath making workshop on the day. This class s is open to beginners and all materials are included with the purchase of a ticket.

Korlekie | Knitwear Designer
KORLEKIE is a fashion label that explores heritage in craft techniques and culture, offering the best of handcrafted luxury garments and accessories made in the UK. Launched in 2013 by British-Ghanaian designer Beatrice Korlekie, a year after she debuted her Master’s collection from the London College of Fashion at the V&A museum, the label has grown to be a favourite of VIPs and customers worldwide.
Black Girl Knit Club (BGKC) is a knitwear collective based in East London started by friends Sicgmone & Vea.
Created in January 2019 after the realisation that there wasn’t a safe space for women who looked like us in the craft industry. We were further motivated after following the recent social media hashtag #diversknitty, where knitwear designers and makers were calling for more diversity within the craft community. Thus we wanted to change that narrative for us and the next generation thus we created Black Girl Knit Club !
