Join classical ballet company Ballet Black for an intensive, one-day practical workshop led by internationally renowned choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. Of Colombian-Belgian heritage, South Bank Sky Arts Award-winner Annabelle completed her dance education at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp, Belgium, and has created works for more than 40 dance companies around the world, including Scottish Ballet, Joffrey Ballet and English National Ballet.
During the workshop, you will explore ballet technique, taught by Damien Johnson, and the repertory of Annabelle’s new ballet for Ballet Black’s forthcoming triple bill, Red Riding Hood, a fairy tale with a surprising twist!
As part of the Lab you will receive a ticket to Ballet Black’s show Triple Bill at the Barbican in March 2017.
Please note that you do not need to be a professional ballet dancer in order to take part in this Lab. This Lab is suitable for students in education and training, emerging artists and professionals aged 17+.
