Blood and Guts: A conversation with Skin

Wednesday 13 October 2021

The InterLaw Diversity Forum and ViacomCBS International are excited to co-host an intersectional Black History Month conversation with the iconic Skin. We hope you can join us on Wednesday, 13 October at 5:00 PM (London) for this exciting discussion!

Skin is a British singer, songwriter, electronic music DJ and LGBTQ+ Activist. She is best known as the lead vocalist of British rock band Skunk Anansie, a band often grouped as part of the Britrock movement in the UK. Skin is internationally known for using her artistic platform to call attention to racism, homophobia, and sexism as a proud Black woman and member of the LGBTQ+ community. Skin has also recently released a memoir, It Takes Blood And Guts, about how a gay, Black, working-class girl with a vision fought poverty and prejudice to become one of the most influential women in British rock.

During the discussion, which will be moderated by Daniel Winterfeldt, General Counsel for EMEA & Asia, Jefferies and Founder & Chair of the InterLaw Diversity Forum, Skin will share her unique experiences as a member of and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community in the music industry and beyond.

There will also be an opportunity for Q&A.
