Lemn Sissay: Let The Light Pour In – Live

Tuesday 27 October 2026

Spend an evening with Lemn Sissay, one of Britain’s most influential literary voices, as he brings his acclaimed collection Let The Light Pour In to the stage in a powerful and deeply personal live performance.

Over the course of more than a decade, Sissay developed a daily writing practice, sharing short poems each morning without explanation. These reflections, open to interpretation and connection, resonated with audiences across the world, appearing in public spaces, on social media and eventually forming his bestselling collection.

In this live show, Sissay presents a curated selection of these works alongside the stories behind them, offering insight into their origins and the moments that inspired them. Blending poetry with storytelling, humour and reflection, the performance creates an intimate and engaging atmosphere where audiences can connect with both the words and the man behind them.

Beyond the performance itself, the evening becomes a space for shared reflection, exploring themes of identity, belonging, resilience and creativity. Through his words, Sissay captures the everyday moments that shape our lives, offering clarity, warmth and a sense of connection in an increasingly complex world.

The event also includes a live Q&A and post-show book signing, giving audiences the opportunity to engage more deeply with the work and its meaning.
