Beverly Glenn-Copeland performs at Brighton Festival 2026, bringing his distinctive blend of folk, jazz, classical and electronic music to the Brighton Dome Concert Hall.
A composer, singer and transgender activist, Glenn-Copeland has built a remarkable late-career resurgence after his work gained international recognition decades after its original release. His music is known for its minimalism, warmth and spiritual depth, creating an intimate and reflective live experience.
This performance follows the release of his recent album Laughter In Summer, a collaborative project created with his long-time partner Elizabeth Glenn-Copeland. The work reflects themes of memory, love and resilience, shaped by personal experiences and a shared creative journey.
Joining him on stage are members of F*Choir, a queer-led ensemble that reimagines choral performance through collective expression and inclusivity. Their presence adds a dynamic and communal dimension to the performance, blending voices and sound in a way that reflects themes of identity, belonging and creative freedom.
Part of the wider Brighton Festival programme, which features over 100 events across music, theatre, literature and visual arts, the concert sits within one of the UK’s leading multi-arts festivals.
