‘I see you; I hear you’ – Acknowledging and addressing the silencing of Black women and non-binary folks’ experiences in sexual health.

Featuring Dr Vanessa Apea Sexual Health and HIV doctor, Health Services Researcher, Health Equity Champion and local Activists and Artists.

Too many Black, Asian and Latin American people in our community have subpar experiences when it comes to their sexual and reproductive health. Whether it’s a lack of cultural sensitivity at the clinic, stigma from family members, or practical issues like not being able to afford bus money to attend a cervical smear, we are failing individuals
