A session dedicated to empowering and educating those who are apart of a black boy’s community. This includes parents, teachers, mentors, tutors, family members and everyone connected to black boys.
Session aims
- Engage in open and honest conversation to understand the educational inequalities faced by boys from African/Caribbean backgrounds
- Empower parents and primary caregivers, encouraging active engagement with the school system and their child’s educational development
- Promoting the holistic development of blacks boys beyond the classroom, providing practical strategies to do this
- Address common issues within the education system with regard to sanctions, communication with teachers and neurodiversity in education.
Disclaimer: Funds raised from this event will be going towards our Bridge Mentorship Programme which is a FREE mentorship scheme for Black Boys from Year 10 – Year 13.
