Jennifer Farmer: Creative Writing Workshops For Black Women

Sat, 10:30 - 15:30

Utopia Theatre invites Black women, including those working in the health sector, to participate in free creative writing workshops with playwright Jennifer Farmer. Using African and Western storytelling traditions, the workshops will allow you to share your stories and explore themes of racial bias in the healthcare system, particularly
relating to pregnancy and childbirth as addressed in our upcoming play, How Far Apart.

How Far Apart will tour to theatres, community groups and healthcare facilities in late 2020, and your creative work will be professionally published alongside play’s script.

Join us for these half day workshops over two days, on 16th and 23rd November at Theatre Deli, 202 Eyre St., Sheffield, S1 4QZ. Booking is essential
