It is the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence. It is also a celebration of 50 years of the British Bangladeshi community in the UK.

‘Story of Independence’ reflects the lives of the diaspora, those in the homeland, their struggle and glory as a nation. This is a family friendly evening of music and dance.

It celebrates the anniversary through traditional, patriotic songs. Music and lyrics tell the stories of freedom. Performances will be by children and young people as well as adult groups. Come along for a musical journey of discovery and celebration.
