Biggest Leadership Conference for Black Professionals returns this October

With the theme ‘Knowledge is Power’ BYP Network sets the tone for Black professionals at the BYP Leadership Conference

Calling all advocates and pioneers of Black professionals in the UK, BYP Network is bringing back its annual BYP Leadership Conference in a hybrid medium with a physical event on 6 October at the Mermaid Theatre, London and a virtual careers fair on 7 October 2022.

The BYP Leadership Conference is returning with the theme ‘Knowledge is Power’ – an apt notion for Black History Month in the UK. This will be the fourth edition of the pivotal conference since its inception in 2018, when it was created for Black professionals and enterprises looking to diversify their workplaces.

The conference is set to impart insights regarding accountability in businesses, governments and breaking societal norms to end the cycle of inequality for a more just and truthful world, and celebrate the successes of those who have changed the narrative and  encouraged greater diversity in entertainment and entrepreneurship.

Kike Oniwinde, Founder and CEO of BYP Network says: “46% of Black employees in the UK intend to quit their jobs in the first two years or sooner due to discrimination*. Considering this disappointing stat paired with the cost of living crisis and looming recession, there has never been a more pertinent time to discuss issues faced by the Black community in-person. This year’s conference is set to have over 30 businesses and 40 speakers from different sectors. We serve to represent Black professionals and ensure that companies are active participants in changing thye narrative.”

Sponsors for 2022 include Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Deepmind, UBS, Salesforce, Farfetch, Ebay, Hearst UK, Shell and much more. Speakers will be announced in due course. For more information on the conference, visit their website at byp.network/leadership-conference-2022.

BYP Network is founded by a former international javelin thrower, and Forbes 30 under 30 winner, Kike Oniwinde.
