This session is lead by Pamela Windle and will cover the topic of Sleep in Times of COVID.
Sleep is the fountain of youth and plays a critical role in supporting our immune health. It’s essential to get a minimum of 6 hours of unbroken sleep per night; any less long term will have a negative impact on your health. In this workshop, I’ll be talking about how optimising your sleep will reduce the risk of infection and could prevent you from going into hospital if you were to contract it
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Palava Tree discusses issues around mental health, physical health, community discussions, lifestyle and COVID 19 effects on the community. It is a safe space to speak out, discuss and share experiences and combat isolation.
Activities are designed to gain more information and approach the pandemic through critical reflection and through peer support and discussions. In addition, participants are able to acquire tools and practices to live healthier and more balanced.
Participating
The project is created for participants in the Midlands. We are creating safe space for people of African and Caribbean heritage to discuss these topics. Spaces are limited and to confirm your space, we will send you a short survey via email to respond to and instructions to sign up to our online platform.
This project is made possible through funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund. Thanks to the Government for making this possible.
