LAYLA’S ROOM

Wednesday 21 September 18:30

For Layla, every day is a battleground. The pay gap or the thigh gap – which should she destroy first? A showcase performance of Layla’s Room by award-winning playwright Sabrina Mahfouz, the play will raise urgent questions around sexism in the UK today. Tackling the challenges faced by young women and how these can be overcome – Layla’s Room provides an opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate identity and to champion the positive benefits of asserting your rights, voice and sense of self in an ever changing world. The performance will be followed by a post-show revolution and reception.
