Under the baton of upcoming talent Stephanie Childress, the Orchestra performs as part of the commemorations for the first Stephen Lawrence Day, held on the anniversary of the teenager’s murder in 1993.

Hear the Junior Orchestra’s debut performance of Philip Herbert’s Elegy: In Memoriam – Stephen Lawrence as they help to carry Lawrence’s legacy through the power of music, ahead of Chineke! Orchestra’s performance of the same piece at 7.30pm.

The Chineke! Juniors concert showcases some of the UK’s exceptional young BME musicians as they perform Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins, Holst’s St Paul’s Suite and the rarely performed Othello Suite by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
